Blimop on SleakOps: onboarding the beplic product onto a managed Kubernetes platform on AWS
Blimop is a technology company whose product (beplic.io / beplic.com) runs on AWS with a complex stack (Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, RDS, S3, Route53, ~30 dockerized repositories). It adopted SleakOps — Craftech's SaaS platform — as the management layer for its infrastructure, with an active subscription since April 2025.
Challenge
Blimop was in production with stability and cost issues and limited in-house DevOps capacity to operate a complex stack (Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, RDS, ~30 repos). It needed more agility in observability and scalability while keeping costs in check, automated deployments (its CI/CD lived on GitLab), and the ability to manage even its own clients' projects under separate Git accounts.
Solution
Craftech onboarded Blimop onto SleakOps after a detailed assessment (services, dependencies, beplic.io/beplic.com domains, protocols and database migration). Onboarding completed on a successful second attempt, leaving the product deployed and managed from the platform, with service dockerization and integrated CI/CD. Continuous operations added maintenance of the QA Kubernetes cluster (upgrade to 1.30), a nightly-shutdown module for cost savings, and exploration of multi-Git integration support to deploy Blimop's clients' projects under separate GitLab accounts.
Results
The beplic product now runs on a managed Kubernetes platform on AWS with automated deployments and standardized observability, addressing the instability and costs that drove adoption. Continuous operations included keeping the QA cluster on a supported Kubernetes version and cost-saving mechanisms such as nightly capacity shutdown. Blimop's case also drove a SleakOps product evolution (support for multiple Git integrations per company).
