IoT platform and networking on AWS for XAL Digital: dev/prod accounts, VPC and peering under a Master Agreement
XAL Digital S.A. de C.V. (Mexico) is the digital group behind Kigo, with an active Partnership Master Agreement with Craftech. On its own AWS infrastructure (dev and prod accounts), Craftech built the networking foundation and XAL's IoT device-management platform.
Challenge
XAL needed a solid, secure AWS infrastructure foundation for its IoT initiative, with isolated dev and prod environments, well-designed network connectivity (VPC, peering) and its device-fleet management console built from scratch, all backed by the existing Master Agreement with Craftech.
Solution
Craftech delivered the platform work on XAL's dev and prod accounts: VPC and peering configuration, IoT accounts (dev/prod) and CloudFormation-based alerts. For the IoT platform it deployed a serverless architecture (AWS Lambda + API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, Cognito) with a Next.js/React frontend, Terraform IaC and GitHub CI/CD, across dev-iot/prod-iot environments.
Results
XAL has an AWS networking foundation (VPC, peering) and operational dev/prod IoT environments, plus the MVP of its new IoT management platform delivered on a serverless architecture. The work pattern — 100% configuration (CHANGE), no continuous support — leaves a clear opportunity to evolve toward a managed-support arrangement under the existing Master Agreement.
