Tucan (Tucan SpA) is an ecommerce company in Chile. Craftech ran a focused project to migrate its platform to a new AWS account, covering its core services and a heterogeneous set of databases.
Challenge
Tucan needed to move its ecommerce platform to a new AWS account in an orderly way and within a defined timeframe, preserving its core, marketing, notifications and analytics services along with multiple database engines.
Solution
Craftech executed the migration to the new AWS account, deploying the services over the relevant data stores —RDS, DocumentDB, MongoDB and MySQL— with Redis for caching, and DevOps tooling such as Jenkins and SonarQube for CI/CD and quality, covering production and sandbox environments.
Results
Tucan completed the migration of its platform to the new AWS account within the project's focused scope, with its core services and multiple databases running on the new account and its production and sandbox environments properly separated.
