Migrating 42 services to Kubernetes for Netwey: a telco platform on AWS over EKS
Netwey is a Mexican telecommunications company. Craftech executed the migration of its platform to Amazon EKS and consolidated a complex AWS stack —Redshift, Aurora, Transfer Family, multi-VPN, APM, and observability— with the SleakOps platform deployed to manage operations.
Challenge
Netwey needed to bring a large, heterogeneous telco platform to a modern, scalable architecture on AWS: dozens of services to run on Kubernetes, a demanding data and connectivity stack (data warehouse, managed relational database, file transfer, multiple VPNs), and end-to-end observability to operate with confidence.
Solution
Craftech migrated 42 services to Kubernetes on Amazon EKS and consolidated the rest of the stack on AWS: Amazon Redshift for analytics, Amazon Aurora as the relational database, AWS Transfer Family for file exchange, multi-VPN connectivity, and application monitoring (APM) with full observability. The SleakOps platform was deployed to standardize operations and deployments.
Results
All 42 services now run on Amazon EKS, with the data and connectivity stack consolidated on AWS (Redshift, Aurora, Transfer Family, multi-VPN) and end-to-end observability. SleakOps was installed as the operations platform, leaving a modern, scalable foundation for Netwey's telco platform.
