Oracle Cloud → AWS migration assessment and proof of concept for Licitapyme
Licitapyme is a Chilean GovTech public-procurement platform. Craftech supported it on a migration assessment funded through AWS Partner Funding, reviewing its Oracle Cloud platform and validating the path to AWS with a proof of concept.
Challenge
Licitapyme ran its procurement platform on Oracle Cloud and needed to evaluate a migration to AWS in an orderly way: understand its current architecture, estimate costs, size the effort, and reduce risk before committing to a full migration.
Solution
Craftech ran a structured migration assessment: it reviewed networking, services, database, persistent data, the CI/CD flow, billing, security, and team, consolidated an analysis document and a work plan, and produced an AWS database cost analysis. On that basis it validated the lift-and-shift approach with a proof of concept migrating virtual machines using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN).
Results
Licitapyme was left with a complete diagnosis of its platform, an AWS cost estimate, and a proof of concept that technically validated migrating VMs from Oracle Cloud with AWS MGN, plus a work plan for the migration phase. The scope was assessment and validation; the full migration remained the next step, not executed within this engagement.
