AWS migration and an EKS platform for Intelligential: production environments, CI/CD, and 20+ dockerized microservices

Challenge

Intelligential needed to bring its fintech platform to AWS on a modern, maintainable foundation: a container architecture on Kubernetes for its 20+ microservices (Node, Go, Python, Java), separate environments (lower and production), standardized CI/CD pipelines, observability, and a team able to operate the platform. The starting point was an assessment of the existing infrastructure and data services.

Solution

Craftech structured the project in stages. It began with a formal kickoff (project charter, scope, roadmap, initial metrics, and AWS account setup) and an assessment of architecture and data services. It then provisioned the infrastructure: Amazon EKS clusters with core services and monitoring in the lower and production environments, image registry on Amazon ECR, reusable CI/CD templates, and the infrastructure for the 20+ dockerized microservices. On that base it executed the production migration with a detailed plan, pre-migration tests, and stress tests, and included a training stage for the Intelligential team (networking, monitoring, IAM, CI/CD, EKS, Terraform, and cost monitoring), closing with documentation handoff and a continuity plan.

Results

Intelligential's platform now runs on Amazon EKS across separate environments (lower and production), with monitoring, image registry on ECR, and standardized CI/CD pipelines for its 20+ microservices. The production migration was executed with pre-migration and stress tests, and the client's team was trained on the operational pillars (networking, IAM, EKS, Terraform, observability, and cost), with documentation handed off to sustain the platform.
