AWS migration diagnosis and plan for Ibisa
Ibisa is an industrial-technology company focused on production planning. Craftech supported it on a one-off project to diagnose and plan a migration to AWS in early 2022.
Challenge
Ibisa needed to evaluate the path to move its platform — with a mixed data stack on MongoDB, Cassandra, and MySQL — to AWS, understanding its architecture and dependencies before committing to a migration.
Solution
Craftech ran a diagnosis of Ibisa's platform and produced an AWS migration plan, covering the Gitflow-based workflow, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), the use of infrastructure as code, and handling of the existing databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL).
Results
Ibisa was left with a diagnosis of its platform and an AWS migration plan as a roadmap. The scope was assessment and planning — not execution; the migration was not carried out within this engagement, and Ibisa is now a former client.
