Multi-environment data platform on EKS, Karpenter and Airflow (MWAA) for HAMS
HAMS is a German BPM and data-analytics (ML & Big Data) company. Craftech supported it through an intermittent but recurring three-year relationship (Mar 2022 – Mar 2025), operating a complex data platform on AWS and GCP with pipeline orchestration and per-client isolation.
Challenge
HAMS needed a scalable, multi-environment data platform with data/ML pipeline orchestration, compute efficiency and isolation for each of its clients (LEK, DEA, UNO, AMP, IHC, among others).
Solution
Craftech operated an EKS-based architecture with Karpenter for efficient node autoscaling, MWAA/Airflow for pipeline orchestration, Lambda and CI/CD with CircleCI, and observability with Grafana, in a multi-environment scheme segmented per client and spanning AWS and GCP.
Results
HAMS had a scalable, multi-client data platform on EKS + Karpenter + Airflow for three years. Offboarding was orderly (formal letter in Mar-2025, final activity documenting resources and handing off modules); the prior re-engagement history is a positive signal for an eventual recontact.
