Extrimian migrates from GCP to AWS on Kubernetes, funded by the AWS program
Extrimian is an Argentine technology company. Craftech supported its migration from Google Cloud Platform to AWS, moving the platform to a container-based architecture with its own observability, in a project funded almost entirely by the AWS Partner Contribution.
Challenge
Extrimian needed to migrate its platform from Google Cloud Platform to AWS, consolidating its infrastructure on a modern container architecture and leaving databases, caches and messaging running stably in the new cloud, with end-to-end operational visibility.
Solution
Craftech executed the migration to AWS on a container-based architecture with Amazon EKS, moving the data and messaging components (RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka) to the new platform with segmented networking (VPC) and application packaging with Helm and Docker. On that foundation it deployed a full observability stack —Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Alloy and Mimir— to provide metrics and logs visibility for the migrated platform.
Results
Extrimian ended up running on AWS with a container architecture (Amazon EKS) and its data and messaging services (RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka) deployed in the new cloud, with its own observability stack (Grafana/Prometheus/Loki/Alloy/Mimir) installed by Craftech to monitor the migrated platform.
