Kubernetes platform management and SleakOps onboarding for fintech Chimpay
Chimpay is a regulated Argentine fintech, with a microservices architecture on Kubernetes and integrations with local tax and investment systems. Craftech supported it on a project funded through AWS Partner Funding, bringing in its SleakOps platform to manage the infrastructure.
Challenge
Chimpay ran a complex fintech platform — more than 40 microservices with a service mesh and an API gateway, integrated with Argentine tax and investment bodies — that required a consistent management and operations layer on AWS without adding operational load to its team.
Solution
Craftech onboarded Chimpay's infrastructure to its SleakOps platform, managing a Kubernetes stack with Istio as service mesh and Kong as API gateway, along with messaging and caching services (RabbitMQ, Redis) and managed-desktop environments with AppStream 2.0. The SleakOps onboarding centralized the operation of the client's 40-plus microservices.
Results
Chimpay was left with its fintech platform operated centrally through SleakOps, with the Kubernetes, service mesh, and API gateway infrastructure managed under a single layer. The project, funded by AWS, left the platform installed as a basis for ongoing support.
